Nursery Practitioner

Job Description

We are getting busy again and we need a nursery practitioner to work in our modern, spacious nursery in Royal Wootton Bassett. If you are serious about good childcare, you can make a valuable contribution to children’s learning and development with us. Room Leader (3-24 months)

 Job Description

We are seeking a Room Leader for our Baby Room.

The Nursery offers purpose-built facilities with extensive outdoor provision and the highest standards of childcare and education. We appreciate the significant positive impact that a highly trained, empowered, professional and committed team can have on the development and welfare of the children.

In order to maximise the quality of provision the Nursery offers staff support, guidance, mentoring and individually tailored training.

You will be an experienced Baby Room Leader with ability to lead and support fantastic education and development practices within the nursery. You will be coaching and mentoring staff and supporting the implementation of the EYFS framework alongside the Nursery Management Team.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

* To lead the Baby Room to ensure the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment
* To plan, prepare and review the curriculum with the team working within the EYFS
* To work in partnership with parents and carers
* To follow and implement all of the nursery policies and procedures
* To keep abreast with current thinking and best practice.

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

* NVQ 3 Childcare and Education (minimum).

* A firm and thorough understanding of the EYFS and OFSTED outcomes, and best practice delivery.

* A firm understanding of the Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements.

* Experience in leading 0-2s Room.
