Our Approach

We have an open-door policy of meeting with our parent/carers. We aim to meet with them regularly to discuss their child’s learning and development.

At the end of the child's session the key worker makes time to talk to the parent/carers and goes through their daily diary. This informs the parent/carers of the following :

  • What the child has eaten.
  • What activities the child has engaged with.
  • How long the child has slept for.
  • Toileting and personal hygiene routines.
  • General comments on the day.

We have an Open-Door policy of meeting with our parent/carers. We aim to meet with them regularly to discuss their child’s learning and development. In addition to these we have scheduled Events that they are invited to.

This enables the parent/carers to share in the activities the children have planned for and engaged in. It allows them to meet with their child’s key worker in an informal and relaxed atmosphere.

Children's Requirements

Prior to the child joining Learning Curve, the staff meet with the parent/carer and the child to discuss the needs of the child. This assists the parent/carer and their child in "getting to know” their Early Years Practitioners (EYPs)

Equal Opportunities

In promoting equal opportunities, Learning Curve has regard to admission and access to the resources, activities, and facilities available to children in its care. All children and adults are treated with equal concern.

The EYPs are familiar with relevant anti-discriminatory good practice. They EYPs liaise with parent/carers to ensure that all children's records only contain information that enables appropriate care to be given provided.

Data Protection (Data Protection Act 1998): Confidentiality of information is maintained at Learning Curve Day Nursery in accordance with the code of confidentiality and The General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679. Please see our Privacy Policy.
