COVID 19 Information

Learning Curve has been open for business during the current Covid crisis, apart from April and May 2020, during the first Lockdown. Since then we have been operating for four days a week, Monday to Thursday, and it is anticipated that this shorter operating week will continue for the foreseeable future.

We want to reassure all our parents, both current and prospective, that we are doing all we can to ensure that the nursery environment is as safe as it can be for children and for staff. Naturally this has meant some changes in our daily routines and activities, but our emphasis on outdoor play has not altered and we are blessed to have large outdoor spaces where the children can play safely and healthily

Inside the building we are following closely the Government guidance on systems of control to minimise the risk of infection and transmission, as we have been throughout the pandemic. This means that we are unable to admit any visitors into the building during operating hours, and that includes parents. Our parents hand over their children to the staff at the three entrances to the building we are using at drop-off and pick-up time. When a face-to-face meeting is required we ask parents to come into our Learning and Development room, which is accessed by a separate entrance.

For prospective parents wishing to visit the nursery, we arrange show-rounds at the weekends. We realise that this is not the best way to view a setting, but at the moment we have no alternative.
